Using your own hands as reference can help a lot in understanding its form :) I had a lot of fun doing this exercise!

The first art I had done of Dindirim Sneering in order to test his design for the comic! Everyone say “Howdy do, Gnomefather?”

I wanted each use of magic in Xolhara to feel personalized and unique, catered to each character that uses it. Thimble’s uses of Dindirim’s blessings are some of my absolute favorites! :) I will, of course, be expanding upon these throughout the comic as her abilities grow!

I’ve been trying to practice oil paintings lately. The goal? Hopefully submit something to a gallery! It’s a bit intimidating, but I think would be a fun challenge! Needle was chosen as my test subject >:) I think so far its going well, but we’ll see! The final results will be posted on socials!!

Some of the early outfit designs I had done for Thimble! Traveler’s clothes, winter outfit, and their sleepwear! There’s more to come later. What outfits would you want to see in? I think a nice ballgown would be fun!

While workshopping and designing the title, we had briefly discussed a “darkvision” version! I had tested it (which is helpful to know how the gnomes will see for future panels) and LOVE the way it looks! I do super love the official one that we went with, though :) What do you all think?

It’s always good to have a solid reference, especially for backgrounds! I call it “set building” but really I just get to have fun playing The Sims 4. Maybe someday I’ll make all the characters too.

I had originally made this design a few years back for a Masks campaign that never got off the ground. Still, he’s one of my favorite character concepts and designs I’d done in a while!! I had a lot of fun playing with color combinations. Which is your favorite?

A look at how pages are greyscaled before adding color! I have a lot of fun figuring out values and using gradient maps for backgrounds!

Its always good to figure out the personality of a town in order to give it the proper life! I really wanted to give Ladelberg the justice it deserves :)
